Happy Black Friday!

Happy Black Friday shopping everyone!

Black Friday falls on the perfect weekend. It’s close enough to the holidays, so we can all head out with good intentions on buying Christmas presents… and won’t feel guilty about buying ourselves a few things too. I mean, it’s on sale right?

We’re roughly a month away from Christmas, so you may want to consider how you’ll be decorating your home for this wonderful time of the year! I’ve decided to post some photos that will inspire you on how to decorate your dinner table.

I often find that Michael’s is a great place to find these types of items. So if you’re feeling crafty, Michael’s has some great coupons you can print online. It ends today so click here to get the coupons! (Coupon for Canadian residents)

I Smell Christmas

We’re getting close to the end of November… meaning it’s almost time for Christmas! (Insert excited jumping up and down, or heavy sighing of the $ that will be spent here)

I was searching Christmas Decorations on the HGTV website today, and I came across a few interesting concepts for Christmas trees.
The first one is situated in a wagon, so you can move it into any room you want. This is great if you don’t have any stairs in the way in terms of where you’re trying to go. I like the idea of being able to bring it into the dining room when having Christmas dinner, and having the flexibility to bring it back into the family room; or wherever you normally have your Christmas tree. I also like wagons. Enough said.

The second one… Well, I laugh every time I see this and I therefore had to share it. ;)

Quarter Life Crisis? No, Just a Layout Update

Since I lost most of my blog images through a freak cell phone accident, I decided --- time for a fresh start, sort of.
Although I’m still working away at getting many of my images back, I decided to change up the layout of my blog too. I looked at a bunch of different blogs and noticed they generally have the following:
·         A banner along the top with logo etc etc
·         Links that take you to specific types of entries
·         Simplicity – let the images do the talking! But of course I added a splash of pink (muahaha)
So hope you like the new look, and if you haven’t already noticed… the banner I created last night too J

Impressive Ski Dome Proposal for Denmark

Is this Interior Design related? No…. but it still has to do with design and I think it is FANTASTIC so naturally I have to share this!

A proposal for a snowflake-shaped Ski Dome by CEBRA has got my jaw dropped! The ski dome consists of three kilometer slopes. Not only does it provide a place for Skiing and BMXing as well as Skateboarding(on the roof), it also provides a connection in Denmark across the river Gudenåen.
If this Ski Dome were to be constructed, it would be a whopping 70,000 square metre attraction to Denmark; the largest of its kind in the world.

You too Can Bring Alice in Wonderland Home

EEEEK! You know when you find something absolutely adorable and you have to show somebody, anybody, right away!!! Well I’m having one of those moments right now! :D

I originally saw this on facebook’s “Trust me I’m a Designer Page”, but I needed more pictures! Check out these Zoomorphic Chairs, designed by Merve Kahraman. These chairs are handmade and you may have them customized in different leathers.

I have a crush on Rodeo and 5th

Recently I’ve become obsessed with Instagram, which in turn has made me obsessed with Rodeoand5th (Instagram name). Although their retail website has yet to fully launch, they sure are keeping us intrigued with fabulous photos of interior spaces. Here are some of my favourites taken from their Instagram page.

If I won the lotto, this would be mine

Good news! I finally sucked it up and began uploading old photos from my previously destroyed blog entries. I still grit my teeth to this day, and pretend to laugh it off when I tell my friends… I mean it’s funny right? (hahaha)

Life must go on however! Check out this beautiful residence located in Johannesburg designed by SAOTA & Antoni Associates. I mean seriously, what career does one need to get into in order to afford something like this!?
